Forest’s point against Wolves at the City Ground on Saturday left fans with a bitter taste in the mouth, wondering what could have been if The Reds had taken their chances.
But there’s no time to ponder ifs, buts and maybes as Forest face yet another crucial six-pointer under the light at Elland Road against Javi Garcia’s Leeds.
Following a solid performance against Wolves, Steve Cooper’s side have reason to be hopeful that they can end their torrid away form and get a result against Leeds.
Ruthlessness in front of goal is the order of the day as Forest look to transform their fortunes away from home as this pivotal point in the season.
We take a look at the starting XI Cooper may opt for:
1. Keylor Navas - GK
No other option with Henderson out. Unlucky that Podence’s shot was deflected and he was beaten with Wolves’ only shot on target last Saturday.
2. Harry Toffolo - LB
Difficult one with Renan Lodi being so consistent, but following a great performance at Wolves which saw the ex-Huddersfield man providing some dangerous forward runs, Cooper may give him his chance away tonight. Photo: Michael Regan
3. Moussa Niakhate - CB
Although he has spent far too long on the sideline, his presence and pace gave Forest’s back line that much needed solidity. The international break gave him some much needed extra time to get back to full match sharpness. He’s got a huge role tonight.
4. Felipe - CB
Some fans have said he was unlucky not to be awarded MOTM against Wolves. A serious player who is going to be invaluable for the remaining ten fixtures. Deserves to get a win in the Garibaldi.
