Nottingham Forest fans react to 0-2 loss against Manchester United.

Despite having some bright spells during the game, Forest were second best as Manchester United took all the spoils at the City Ground.

The Forest fans celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Tricky Tree logo with a display of the infamous logo, designed by David Lewis, and yet again created a great atmosphere from the stands.

Unfortunately for Forest, this was not enough to stop Erik Ten Hag’s midfield from controlling possession for much of the game and limiting Forest to no shots on target.

Antony proved to be the game-changer as he scored the opener and assisted Diogo Dalot for United’s second goal, which took the game away from Forest.

Forest came close to equalising at the end of the first half with Taiwo Awoniyi missing a clear chance from just inside the box and although Cooper’s side came out fighting in the second half, United’s quality shone through.

The introduction of Sam Surridge in the second half, much to the delight of onlooking fans, was not enough to mount a Forest comeback.

Unfortunately, the game was marred with frustrations over VAR’s decision not to award Forest a penalty after Harry Maguire appeared to handle the ball from a Forest corner.

After the game, Steve Cooper did not hold back in his criticism of VAR and said he expects Forest will receive another apology for the decision not to give a penalty when the scores were level.

Here what fans have to say about Forest’s second loss in their last three home games.
