We of course couldn't do this without the help of you, our readers, who have experienced first-hand many of these long-lost Nottingham pubs and are kind enough to engage with our content.

There were some pretty unanimous suggestions among readers, but one pub in particular did cause a bit of a split.

Others, meanwhile, refuted claims that The Fountain was rough, adding that they never saw so much as a fight in 20 years of regular visits.
With plenty of debate surrounding how much trouble actually occurred in The Fountain back in the day, we asked readers for their memories of what the pub was like.
