Three historic sites in Nottinghamshire are hiring casual workers ahead of the busy summer season. 

Wollaton Hall, Nottingham Castle, and Newstead Abbey are on the hunt for casual part time customer service workers to carry out duties across the three sites.

Successful applicants will have a broad range of tasks concerning cleaning, maintenance, cafes, shops and museums. 

Nottingham City Council is looking for the new staff members to provide a warm welcome, actively engage and deliver outstanding customer service to visitors across its three heritage sites. 

They will maximise visitors’ enjoyment of on-site facilities, optimise opportunities to generate additional income and ensure that the site and assets are safe and secure at all times.

The role also involves promoting all services and products available at the site in an engaging manner to increase sales of products and services and maximise income at every opportunity

The ideal candidates will have experience and understanding of working in a similar front-facing environment of museums, tourism and historic sites. 

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are key to the customer service role, as are the ability to work weekends and school holidays. 

The role pays £10.60 per hour, with various part-time hours available.
