Nottingham is set to experience its first significant snowfall of the winter this weekend, with a Met Office amber warning for snow and ice covering the city on Saturday (January 4) and Sunday (January 5).

The amber warning comes into force at 6pm tomorrow evening and expires as 12pm on Sunday.

It says that snow and freezing rain will likely lead to disruption to transport and some other services.
