Nottingham weather: Exact time ‘mini-heatwave’ is set to hit the East Midlands this week

Temperatures in the East Midlands, including Nottingham, are set to rise this week with a mini-heatwave predicted.

The temperatures across Nottingham and the wider county could reach 19 degrees with a sunny week ahead.

Parts of the UK are set to be hotter than Istanbul this week too. The Met Office predicts temperatures will peak on Thursday and Friday in the East Midlands and will be far above the average temperature for March.

The will be plenty of sunshine across the region over the next couple of days.

Temperatures are expected to reach around 15 degrees on Wednesday (March 19) and 19 degrees on Thursday afternoon (March 20) at around 3pm heading into Friday. Temperatures will cool to around 15 degrees on Saturday and further on Sunday.

Wednesday: Dry with lengthy sunny spells and gentle winds. Some clear spells overnight with light winds and areas of frost. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Largely dry and sunny on Thursday and Friday, but a chance of low cloud along the coast. Turning unsettled on Saturday, cloudy with spells of rain, heavy at times.
