We're sure it is a question that has kept the majority of Nottingham residents awake at night at some point in their lives.
Just who should be the voice of our tram network's announcements?
The question hasn't just been plucked from thin air, you'll be shocked to hear.
So, we asked you, our loyal readers, whose voice you would like to hear as you get on and off the tram.
1. Jake Bugg
Jake was born in Nottingham on 28 February 1994 and grew up in Clifton, where he attended the Farnborough School Technology College. He'd certainly bring a bit of an edge to the matter. Photo: Contributed
2. Su Pollard
A popular choice with our readers and certainly would be distinctive! Su is most famous for her role in the sitcom Hi-de-Hi! and has appeared in over 35 stage plays and musicals. In 1986 her song "Starting Together" hit the number-two spot on the UK charts. Su was born in Nottingham on 7 November 1949 and was educated at Berridge Road School, Hyson Green and Peveril Bilateral School and Robin’s Wood Road.
3. Steve Cooper
A bit of a left-wing suggestions, this one. Nottingham Forest boss, although not from Nottingham, is deemed worthy of a nomination. Photo: Michael Regan
4. Vicky McClure
Another popular choice with Nottingham World readers. Vicky McClure, 39, from Wollaton, is an English actress, model and presenter best known for her roles as Detective Inspector Kate Fleming in the BBC series Line of Duty and Lol Jenkins in Shane Meadows’ film This Is England. She attended Fernwood school and the Central Junior Television Workshop, where she was coached and mentored by fellow Nottingham-born actress Samantha Morton. Photo: Submitted
