Alan has been a special constable with Nottinghamshire Police for 54 years. He’s 70 years old now and is still walking the beat.
Alan’s seen plenty of action during his time with the force. He's attended bank robberies where he’s been shot at; he’s captured a boa constrictor in a flat with his baton and more recently he attended a road traffic collision where Alan dragged people from a burning car and resuscitated them without realising his stab vest was on fire.
He’s saved six lives and has always worked voluntarily, so Sean wants Alex to make a clock for him to thank him for his service which will go on his new fireplace, engraved with his collar number.

He combines elements of traditional and contemporary and uses some beautiful timbers that show off the beautiful grain, a nice light timber, finished in a traditional way with beeswax so it can match the contemporary fireplace that Alan has in his home.
The show airs next Tuesday (January 30) at 9pm on Quest.
