Nottingham storm: Exact time Storm Eowyn will hit Nottinghamshire on Friday as Met Office issues warning

Winds as strong as nearly 60mph are set to hit Nottinghamshire on Friday (January 24) as Storm Eowyn arrives in the county.
The storm, which is currently brewing over the North Atlantic, will hit northern parts of the UK during the early hours of Friday morning.

Hide AdScotland and the North West of England are set to take the brunt of the extreme weather, with the Met Office issuing a rare amber warning for these areas.
However, the forecaster has also issued a yellow warning for wind covering all of England.
The warning says: “Power cuts are likely to occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage.
“Road, rail, air and ferry services are likely to be affected, with longer journey times and cancellations possible. Some roads and bridges may close.

When will Storm Eowyn hit Nottingham?
Nottinghamshire’s yellow warning for wind will come into force at 12am on Friday, expiring at 11.59pm the same day.
The winds will be at their strongest during the early hours of Friday morning.
The Met Office forecast for Nottingham on Friday morning is as follows:
12am: 2C, 34mph winds
3am: 4C, 54mph winds
6am: 8C, 56mph winds
9am: 9C, 57mph winds
12pm: 8C, 56mph winds
