Sherwood Forest's annual Robin Hood Festival is to return this summer with four weekends of entertainment.
Thousands of people are expected to attend the event during weekends between Saturday, August 3, and Monday, August 26 as the county’s famous outlaw is celebrated.

Hide AdThe festival will kick off on August 3 with a spectacular horseback jousting display from the Knights of Nottingham.
The knights will retell the legend of Robin Hood and his battles with the Sheriff of Nottingham, before showcasing their dazzling horsemanship in the combat arena.
Other historical re-enactments will take place over the four weekends, alongside music, comedy and children’s entertainment.

Hide AdThe festivities will culminate with a performance from the Sherwood Outlaws, who take to the arena to present their all-action - and often humorous - take on the legend of Robin Hood.
Except some activities, such as archery, admission to the festival is free, although there is a special event parking charge of £15 per vehicle per day.
