Road closures: four for Ashfield drivers this week

Drivers in and around Ashfield will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Ashfield will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M1, from 8pm April 12 to 6am April 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 28, Lane closure for electrical works.

A38, from 8pm January 3 to 6am July 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound and southbound, junction 29, slip road closures due to structure maintenance, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.

And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:

M1, from midday, to 2.30pm on April 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound and southbound, junction 27, hard shoulder closure due to works on behalf of HW Martin.

M1, from 8pm April 17 to 5am April 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 27 to junction 28, Lane closure for maintenance works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
