Midlands Air Festival: Red Arrows to soar over Nottinghamshire on Friday - full route and timings


The Red Arrows are to soar over Nottinghamshire this week, giving aviation enthusiasts in the county a rare chance to see the famous jets.
Between May 31 and June 2, the iconic RAF aircraft will be performing at the Midlands Air Festival in Alcester, Warwickshire.

Hide AdTomorrow (Friday, May 31), the Red Arrows will leave their Lincolnshire base and head to RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, where they will be temporarily based during the Midlands Air Festival.
According to Military Airshows, the jets will depart RAF Waddington at 2.40pm, with their route to Brize Norton taking them over Nottinghamshire.
Shortly after taking off from Waddington, the Hawk T1-A aircraft will fly south over Nottinghamshire, taking them over eastern parts of the county, including Newart-on-Trent and Balderton.
The Arrows are scheduled to arrive at Brize Norton by 2.59pm.

Hide AdFormed in 1965, the Red Arrows have been a mainstay at UK air festivals for decades and the iconic red jets have become intertwined with the nation's summertime culture.
This summer the team are set to perform at dozens at air festivals across the UK, alongside several in North America and mainland Europe.
