Nottinghamshire’s popular Taste of Rushcliffe food festival announces return
New coffee and cocktail trail also introduced to mark food festival celebrations
A popular food festival that samples locally sourced produce in Nottinghamshire is set to return, it has been announced.
Rushcliffe Borough Council said The Taste of Rushcliffe Food Festival will return to Central Avenue in West Bridgford on Saturday, July 15.
Cllr Jonathan Wheeler, the authority’s cabinet portfolio holder for transformation, leisure and wellbeing, said: “I’m excited to see the return of our annual Taste of Rushcliffe event which shines a light on the talented local businesses that we are proud to have in the borough.

“There’s something for everyone, whether you want to tantalise your tastebuds at the street market, top up your culinary skills at a food masterclass or head over to the kid’s cookery sessions.”
Visitors can enjoy a range of food and drink stalls, street food, authentic recipes and signature dishes. There will also be cookery demonstrations and masterclasses from professional chefs throughout the day.
The free event will take place between 10am and 4pm, with market traders open for business from 9am - including cured meats, pies, preserves, pastries and more.
Tracey Harker, of Harker’s Farm shop in Clipston-on-the-Wolds, said: “As an independent and local family business, this food festival is a great opportunity to highlight our products.
“Our ethos is to source the majority of our products from local suppliers including our honey, potatoes, bread, cakes, beer and jams plus lots more.”
As part of the festival celebrations, West Bridgford Way is launching a coffee and cocktail trail next month.
Customers who buy a coffee or cocktail from each of The Botanist, Yumacha, Parlour, Little Green, White Rabbit or Fordes will receive a 50 per cent discount off a drink at your choice of venue.
Loyalty cards will be available to collect at any participating venue from Saturday, July 1.
