Hosted by Nottingham-based record label I’m Not From London and Dedicated C.I.C, funds raised from the festival this year will be donated to Tara’s Angels and Rainbows Hospice For Children and Young People.

The festival returned following a three-year hiatus in 2022 due to Covid restrictions and raised £5,247, increasing the total since the event’s inception to more than £35,000 for good causes.

A fancy dress competition will also take place throughout the afternoon with a “naughty nautical” theme. Festival fans are encouraged to dress up as anything from mermaids and pirates to Popeye and Poseidon, with prizes available for the best costumes.

Acts this year include Bloodworm, Femur and Seas of Mirth across the Castle Rock Brewery, Gigantic and Madrí stages, with a fourth “secret stage” still to be announced.

Revellers will descend on the Grade II listed and iconic Canalhouse, an award-winning bar that is known for its serene beer garden views and a canal that extends inside the building, complete with a canal boat and footbridge.

The Canal and River Trust will be hosting free family activities, with children welcome until 7pm, alongside a “Run To The Beats” fun run, which starts and finishes at Canalhouse, taking in heritage and cultural sights of the city.

Tara’s Angels is a Nottingham-based non-profit that supports women and children fleeing domestic abuse in refuges across the county.

Rainbows provide end-of-life, palliative, and respite care for babies, children, young people and their families across the East Midlands.
