Nottingham’s Park Garden Trail returns after four-year absence – and ticket prices are the same as in 2019
If you have ever wanted to get a sneaky peek into the gardens of some of Nottingham’s most historic homes then you are in luck as the Park Garden Tour returns
The Park Garden Trail is returning this month for its 25th edition after a four-year absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In previous years, visitors have been able to have a sneaky peek into the gardens and meet the home owners for a chat as they make their way around the open gardens.
The event, which has been running since 1986 every two years, will take place on Sunday, June 11 between 1pm and 6pm for the first time since 2019. It will be hosted in Nottingham’s historic Park Estate, the former deer park of Nottingham Castle. While not all not homes are open, the beautiful historic setting is fun to walk around taking in the architecture as you go.
Tickets are available now at the same price as in 2019 starting at £7.50 – while all visitors under 18 go in for free.
The event will host 25 open gardens, 12 of them new, as well as food and refreshments, including strawberries and fizz and a mini farmers’ market. Plant stalls and children’s activities such as Robin Hood storytelling, City Arts giant puppets, and crafts will also be available.
Entertainment will be provided by the Lace City Chorus, Jazz Ants, Shifting Sands, Burton Joyce Community Brass Band, NGHS band, and Red Hats band. All proceeds will go to local charities, including Central Women’s Aid, Radford Care Group, City Arts, and the Wolfpack Project.
The 24th Park Garden Trail, which was held on Sunday, June 23, 2019, represented a record year for the event, as £31,500 was raised for charity. Tickets are available here.
