Shops closing: Nottingham city centre shop closes after ‘wonderful journey’

A Nottingham city centre shop has closed after a “wonderful journey”.

Macaron Marlo, in 7 Carlton Street, closed earlier this month after three years of operating in Hockley.

Established in 2016, Macaron Marlo sold dozens of different types of handmade macarons, including specialist creations for weddings.

Previously operating from Sneinton Market and Victoria Market, the business closed during the first week of June.

In an Instagram post, a spokesperson for Macaron Marlo said: “It's been a wonderful journey baking and serving you all.

“A very big thank you for all your love, encouragement and support! You have made it worthwhile and we couldn't have done what we have done without you.

“Every single purchase meant and still means so much! It's time for a new chapter and much-needed rest.

“We are certain of one thing though - that we will always look back at the last ten years with sincere gratitude and certainty that we gave it our very best!”
