New restaurants: Nottingham restaurant reopens under new ownership just two months after shock closure
A Nottingham restaurant that closed just over two months ago has reopened after being taken on by new owners.
The Glass Orchid, in Beeston, shut its doors at the end of September, with the previous owners citing an “increasingly harsh economic environment” for the reasoning behind the closure.

The group owns several other local pubs and restaurants, including the Commercial Inn at Beeston, The Manor at Toton and the Bromley at Fiskerton.
The Glass Orchid reopened on November 30, coinciding with the Beeston Christmas lights switch-on.
In a Facebook post, the new management team said: “At the Glass you can expect some fantastic premium draught, independent craft and cask ale and great wine.
