If approved, the new restaurant will open at 41 Friar Lane, replacing a former Indian street food outlet called Tuk Tuk.

The prospective new owner, Hari Velmurugan, of West Bridgford, has lodged plans for new signage at the front of the property.

The current fascia bears the name of the former Tuk Tuk restaurant, but Mr Velmurugan wants to erect new 3D and LED signage.

According to the applicant, the building’s landlord has given their permission in the lease document for new signage to be installed.
