You can take the girl out of Nottingham!

Even on holiday, it seems it’s impossible to escape our hometown.

While on a recent jolly to Palma de Mallorca in Spain, I was met with a friendly reminder of life back at home.

Set among a picturesque street in Palma City Centre, stands a shop named Nottingham.

The shop appears to sell men’s clothes - including some very vibrant shirts.

According to the brand’s Instagram account, the shop opened in June 2016.

Unfortunately, it was closed (for a Siesta) when I walked past, otherwise, I’d have liked to have found out more about the name and the owner.

The business logo is a stag, which I’m assuming refers to Mansfield F.C., known by fans as The Stags.

And apparently, I’m not the only Nottingham super fan to snap a photo of the shop.

In a recent Facebook post, I shared a picture of the surprising shop and was met with several replies from readers who had the same idea!

You can take the girl out of Nottingham but you can’t take Nottingham out of the girl.

Let us know if you spot any references to Nottingham while you’re on your travels! We’d love to see them / find out more.
