Major changes to three Nottingham bus routes come into effect next week - what you need to know


Nottingham City Transport (NCT) has announced that changes to three of its bus routes will come into effect next week.
NCT is making changes to the Brown, Lilac and Pink lines, including a brand new direct link between Carlton and Victoria Retail Park.

Hide AdBuses between Carlton Square and the city centre will increase in frequency between Monday and Saturday, with services every five minutes.

There will also be new city centre stops at King Street and the Victoria Centre for buses on Lilac and Red lines.
All changes will come into effect next week - Sunday, January 28 and details can be found below.
Brown 15, 16, 17
NCT has revised timetables for these three services to “improve reliability”. The frequency of the buses will remain the same.

Hide AdLilac 24, 25, 26, 27
There will be an improved frequency to every 5 minutes from Monday and Saturday daytimes between Carlton Square and the city centre to reflect increased passenger demand.
Lilac 24 will provide a new direct link between Carlton Road, Carlton Hill and Carlton to Victoria Retail Park.
Buses will run every 30 minutes on Monday to Saturday daytimes. Buses will follow their current route between City and Dr Park's Corner, then continue along Burton Road, Inn for a Penny PH, Colwick Loop Road to reach Victoria Retail Park.
Westdale Lane will no longer be served by Lilac 24, but continues to be served at the existing frequency by Lilac 25 up to every 15 minutes.

Hide AdThere have been revised timetables on all Lilac Line services on all days of the week, but core frequencies remain unchanged.
In the city centre, there are changes to the stops on King Street and at Victoria Centre.
On King Street, Lilac 24 and 26 will use the first stop nearest Parliament Street and Lilac 25, 27 will use the middle stop. At Victoria Centre, Lilac 24, 26 will use the stop outside the former Argos store and Lilac 25, 27 will use the stop opposite the Dog and Partridge PH.
Pink 28
There have been revised timetables on all days of the week for Pink 28 to improve reliability whilst long term roadworks take place on the route. The frequency of buses remains unchanged.

In the city centre, there are changes to the stops on King Street and at Victoria Centre.
On King Street, buses will use the bottom stop nearest the Brian Clough Statue and at Victoria Centre they will use the first stop nearest the main entrance to the shopping centre.
This is the stop currently used by Lilac Line buses.
