Award-winning series moved to Nottingham after 10 years in London hospitals

New episodes of the Channel 4 hospital documentary 24 Hours in A&E that were filmed in Nottingham are set to be broadcast.

Four episodes from series one, which were filmed at the Queen’s Medical Centre (QMC) in 2021, will air in July and coincide with the NHS’ 75th anniversary celebrations.

“Viewers witnessed the incredible work of our teams and saw their dedication, passion and skill in providing care to those in need.”

The programme moved to the city in 2021 after 10 years in London and welcomed cameras inside the hospital’s emergency department in September and October.

A total of 24 programmes were recorded and the first seven episodes were broadcast earlier this year, giving viewers an insight into one of the country’s busiest accident and emergency departments.

Each episode is filmed over a 24-hour period and takes a look behind the scenes, telling the stories of patients and interviewing hospital staff.

In March, a second series at QMC was commissioned and cameras began filming for the award-winning documentary series in May.

Episodes of 24 Hours in A&E will air on Mondays at 9pm on Channel 4.
