Earlier this week Littler, 16, became the youngest player to reach the final of the World Darts Championships.

He was eventually defeated 7-4 by favourite Luke Humphries, but his meteoric rise towards the top of the darting tree has earned him a place in the 2024 Premier League.

The annual Premier League season, which runs from February to May, sees the best darts players in the world compete against each other.

Just 16 venues across Europe are chosen to host a Premier League gameweek and Nottingham is one of them.

Names including Michael van Gerwen, Peter Wright and Gerwyn Price will appear at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena on March 14.

Other cities to host this year’s competition include Berlin, Dublin and Rotterdam.

This year’s Premier League prize pot will remain at £1 million, with the winner of the competition bagging £275,000.
