Its new city centre location has been revealed in an application to Nottingham City Council

An American late-night bakery chain is opening a new shop in Nottingham city centre. 

Insomnia Cookies, which opened its first UK store in Manchester last August, is opening a new bakery in 16 Angel Row.

In an application to Nottingham City Council, Insomnia Cookies has applied for permission to remain open until 3am on Friday and Saturday nights. 

If approved, the bakery will be open between 11am and 1am Sunday to Thursday. 

Insomnia Cookies was founded in a University of Pennsylvania dorm room by then-student Seth Berkowitz in 2003.

Those with a sweet tooth will be able to choose from the bakery’s large menu featuring treats such as cookies, ice cream and milkshakes. 

An opening date for the new shop has not yet been confirmed.
