Jonny Owens tells us about Day Fever's new Nottingham 'home' as tickets for first Rock City event go on sale

Tickets for Vicky McClure and Jonny Owen's highly-anticipated Day Fever event at Nottingham’s Rock City are set to go on sale tonight (Monday, February 26). 

Last Friday (February 23), Nottingham clubbers were sent into a frenzy after Day Fever teased a “new home” at the iconic city music venue. 

Next Month’s Day Fever event at the Stealth nightclub in Nottingham sold-out instantly, with more than 1,000 people on the waiting list for the next event in the city.

Speaking exclusively to Nottingham World about the decision to hold the biggest Day Fever event to date at Rock City, co-founder Jonny Owen said: “Tickets for Nottingham went really quickly - within a few hours. 

“The people that run Stealth also run Rock City, and they said that the demand was there for something much bigger. 

“So we then decided to take it to Rock City in April and make it a monthly thing in Nottingham if the demand is there.

“Vicky is very pleased about this because it’ll then be the biggest Day Fever in the country!

“Obviously she's a very proud Notts girl and she wants it to be the biggest in her home city.”

Confirmation of Day Fever’s new home at Rock City received more than 1,000 likes on Instagram as excited clubbers revelled in the news. 

Owen added: “Rock City is such an iconic venue and it’s famous right across the country. 

“I’ve had mates emailing me in Wales saying that they’re coming to this one because Rock City is so well-known.”

Tickets will go on sale at 7pm tonight via the Day Fever socials (if they haven’t already sold out!).
