Cost of living payments 2023: DWP confirms exact date £301 support will be paid in Nottingham
Thousands of low-income households across Nottingham will receive a £301 support payment this spring. The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has now also confirmed the exact date this instalment will reach accounts.
Eligible households will be paid £301 between April 25 and May 17, and this will be the first instalment of the three-part payment. This is applicable to most people on DWP benefits, the department confirmed on its website.

The cost of living support payments are given to people from low-income households who are already on certain benefits or tax credits. Instalments are paid automatically using the same method benefits or tax credit are usually paid.
The three cost of living payments are £301, £300 and £299. You’ll get the £301 payment before the end of May, the £300 in autumn 2023 and the £299 in Spring 2024.
Who is eligible for cost of living support payments?
These payments will be separate from benefit payments. Those receiving the following benefits or tax credits are entitled to up to three cost of living payments:
- Income-based Jobseekers Allowance (JSA)
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- Income Support
- Pension Credit
- Universal Credit
- Child Tax Credit
- Working Tax Credit
Those on the following benefits will not get a payment:
- New Style ESA
- Contributory ESA
- New Style JSA
