Met Office releases Christmas Day weather forecast for Nottingham - and sadly there's no snow


The Met Office has released its full Christmas Day forecast for Nottingham, with the big day now just days away.
The forecaster only produces detailed predictions six days in advance because small events currently over the Atlantic can have potentially significant impacts on our weather in the UK in several days.

Hide AdSome northern parts of the UK could possibly experience some snowfall and wintry conditions on Christmas, but sadly much milder weather is forecast for Nottingham.
However, a yellow Met Office warning for wind is in place leading up to the big day.
The warning, which covers central and northern parts of England, will remain in place on Thursday, December 21.

Hide AdStrong winds could be problematic for those looking to travel ahead of Christmas.
In terms of Christmas Day itself, Nottingham looks set for a mild day overall, with some sunny spells.
There will be highs of 9C and lows of 5C, with a 10 per cent chance of rainfall.
By mid-morning, cloud will make way for sunny intervals.
The sun will rise at 8.17am and set at 3.52pm.
