West Bridgford is once again named as one of Britain's poshest suburbs with high earnings and house prices

The Telegraph has included West Bridgford in its list of the UK’s most sought after suburbs, with no other locations in the East Midlands making the cut.
Just one other Midlands area made the list with Dorridge in Solihull ranking as one of the poshest suburbs.

Hide AdThis isn’t the first time West Bridgford has been hailed as one of the most desirable places to live, it often features highly in luxury neighbourhood surveys.
The newspaper’s ranking are based on the most recent research by Savills, which has revealed the most affluent suburbs across the country.
These are areas with the highest number of households with the biggest mortgages – this reflects high earnings and high house prices, but does not include where local housing markets are dominated by investors, or cash buyers or second home owners.

Hide AdThese pockets have big family homes and are close to buzzy high streets full of great restaurants, independent delis and wine bars. There is green space nearby and they have good schools on the doorstep.

So what about West Bridgford?
West Bridgford is a posh residential area with small parks and cosy pubs. Average house prices in this area are £549,106.
Melton Road is the busy artery running from Nottingham; travel 10 to 15 minutes further and the surrounding streets get wider, leafier, and quieter.
This is Edwalton – a pocket of affluent suburbia, which is tacked onto the bigger suburb of West Bridgford.

Hide AdThe park is the centre of the community, especially in the summer with its outdoor cinema. t’s a family-friendly neighbourhood with events such as the bonfire night and street food festival at Trent Bridge. Walking groups head all the way along the towpath to Holme Pierrepont, a watersports centre and country park.
