There aren’t many more simple pleasures in life than going for a walk in the sunshine.
After a busy week at work, the best way to unwind is by breathing some fresh air while feeling the spring sun beaming onto your skin.
We’re now officially in spring, which means that our days will keep getting warmer and longer until mid-June.
Making the most of the spring and summer months is vital because before you know it we’ll be back to woolly jumpers and pitch-black at 5pm.
Nottinghamshire has plenty of beauty spots to explore this spring, but our neighbours in Lincolnshire have their fair share too.
The county’s stunning coastline is packed with gems well worth visiting on a sunny spring day.
Only three of Lincolnshire’s beaches, however, achieved the coveted Blue Flag status in 2025.
A Blue Flag from Keep Britain Tidy indicates that a beach, marina, or sustainable boating tourism operator has been recognized for meeting specific criteria related to environmental management, education, and safety.
Luckily, all three beaches are within a two-hour drive of Nottinghamshire.
