Over the two nights, Nottingham will once again be lit up by around 30 interactive light-based installations.

What can visitors expect for 2025?

Visitors can expect glowing installations, interactive displays, and live performances that illuminate the city's landmarks, streets, and hidden corners.

While specifics surrounding the installations have not yet been confirmed, we have a rough idea for what to expect based on last year’s programme.

In 2024, one of the main attractions was a six-metre-tall inflatable light structure, called The World Has Gone Pear Shaped, in Sussex Street.

Using NASA’s high-resolution 3D images, the illuminated project highlighted how humankind is altering the earth and is a playful take on the dystopias of our time.

Old Market Square was dappled with light from Our Beating Heart – a rotating sculpture featuring thousands of mirror fragments.

The installations will be illuminated from dawn to dusk.

It’s completely free to enjoy the installations.
