The Vat & Fiddle in Nottingham was recognised as more than a sports bar, serving excellent Castle Rock beers too. It may occupy a city centre spot, however its 1930s art deco-style building with multiple cosy nooks no doubt were a hit giving off country pub vibes.

The Barley Mow in Bonsall, Derbyshire was rated for its quaint eccentricity.

The Woodman’s Stroke in Rothley made the list thanks to its charming appearance - a thatched roof will do that - plus a beautiful beer garden to boot.
