Sea and Earth: New chip shop ‘with a twist’ to open in Eastwood

A new chip shop serving a huge range of vegan options is to open its second site in Nottinghamshire. 

Sea and Earth, which already has a takeaway in Woodthorpe, is to open a new restaurant in Eastwood later this year. 

Alongside typical chippy offerings such as pies, fish and sausages, the new restaurant will continue Sea and Earth’s large vegan menu. 

Among the vegan options are battered banana blossom and mock scampi. 

Other tasty vegan dishes on offer include vegan pies and mushy pea fritters. 

While neither the location or opening date for the new restaurant have been confirmed, the business has already started to advertise job vacancies. 

Photos posted by the business on Facebook show renovation of the new restaurant well underway. 

Sea and Earth also has takeaways in Leek, Staffordshire and Loughborough, Leicestershire. 

The Woodthorpe takeaway boasts an impressive 4.5/5 Google rating, with the vegan alternatives proving particularly popular with customers. 

One recent visitor said: “Been twice now! Absolutely amazing place. 

“Their vegan range is huge! The vegan shrimp is very similar to actual shrimp and their vegan chicken nuggets are so tasty. 

“Good prices too! Friendly service and they always tell you what they recommend.”
