For an extra special experience diners can eat inside the bank’s former vault or on the outside patio area.

The courtyard has four tables and benches for dining al fresco, and leads to a doorway of antique clocks, before taking diners into a sweeping 75-seat room.
There you will find original artwork, vintage trinkets, dark wood, exposed plaster walls, a bold dark green ceiling and an open-pass kitchen complete with wood-fired pizza oven. Promising a dining experience that differs from the pizza spaces currently on offer in the city, the new space has plenty of nods to the owner Raffaele Russo’s Napoli roots, coupled with the charm of an old English pub.

David Hallam, managing director of Peter Pizzeria, said: “The Peter experience is something we’ve honed for over a decade - it’s really exciting to finally be bringing that to Nottingham.
“Those who’ve been to any of our other sites will know we don’t take ourselves too seriously and we’re big fans of adding some fun and creativity to each of our sites. “That’s as true here at our new Nottingham sites as any of our other sites. However, there are a few additional surprises too, including our iconic vaults which have been carefully restored and feature all original tile work.

“One vault houses our toilets which feature pizza stained glass windows, while the other one is our private dining area.” The Peter Pizzeria menu features a range of woodfired pizzas made Neapolitan style, using Le 5 Stagioni 00’ flour that has been left to prove for 24 hours. On the menu, pizza lovers will find no pineapple in sight. Instead, the offering includes options like ‘The Old 3’ which features Strianese tomatoes, smoked Fior di Latte, Ricotta, salami, fennel, pistachio and truffle oil; and the ‘Say Hello to Antony’s Little Friend’ which features Strianese tomatoes, Fior di Latte, guanciale, 'Nduja, Bella Lodi and basil. There are also vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options available. Peter Pizzeria’s Nottingham venue will be open 12pm – 10pm from Monday to Thursday, 12pm – 10.30pm Fridays and Saturdays and 12pm – 9.30pm on Sundays, and is located at Pepper Street, NG1 2GH.
