Victoria Retail Park: New Hotel Chocolat café opens inside former Frankie & Benny's
Customers can select from thousands of combinations to personalise their drink
A new 60-seat Hotel Chocolat café has opened at Nottingham’s Victoria Retail Park.
The new concept store opened in the former Frankie and Benny’s unit on Sunday, July 14, marking Hotel Chocolat’s first sit-in Nottinghamshire shop.
Customers can enjoy the brand’s iconic Velvetised drinking chocolate and can select from thousands of combinations to personalise their drink.
The 4,555 sq ft unit will stock Hotel Chocolat’s usual range of sweet treats, including gift boxes and chocolate-flavoured alcohol.
The retail park’s Frankie and Benny’s restaurant closed in 2020 as the chain struggled to recover from the Covid pandemic.
A total of 15 jobs have been created by the new café.
Hotel Chocolat’s omnichannel director, Frankie Haynes, said: “After opening nine stores last year in 2023, we’re continuing to drive forward in making retail park experiences that much more enjoyable with the opening of our latest Hotel Chocolat store at Victoria Retail Park in Nottingham opening this July.
“Whether our customers are after a relaxing drink in one of our Velvetiser Cafes or would like to explore our range of top-quality chocolate, this new concept store offers guests the opportunity to shop at a more leisurely pace.
“Physical stores are extremely attractive and the beauty of being out-of-town is that we have good accessibility and parking so people can visit with ease.
“This latest opening is part of our plans to launch many more stores across the country in the next three to five years.”
