Trailblazing 'fitness sanctuary' with tattoo parlour and barbershop opens near Nottingham
A state-of-the-art 'fitness and strength sanctuary' with a tattoo parlour and barbershop has opened near Nottingham this week.
The new gym near Retford is owned by Mr Olympia Ryan Terry and has opened in partnership with strength brand PRIMAL.

During the launch, Ryan was joined at the 20,000 square foot super-space by a host of famous names in the strength-building industry, including PRIMAL’s ambassadors and World’s Strongest Man champions Tom & Luke Stoltman, and fitness coach Adam Collard.

State-of-the-art equipment, including a comprehensive range of free weights and resistance machines, has been carefully selected to deliver exceptional performance and versatility.
From a spacious and fully equipped strength training zone to a cutting-edge cardio area that boasts the latest in fitness technology, each space has been strategically planned to maximise efficiency for every aspect of a workout.

Hide AdThe new space will showcase world-exclusive workout platforms designed especially per Ryan’s specifications, including the Performance Series Plate Loaded machines some of which are the first of its kind to launch in the UK.
The one-stop, all-encompassing emporium has several other facilities including studios, a recovery suite with ice baths, saunas, and compression machines. There’s also a ‘posing room’, a café serving protein shakes and Ryan’s custom coffee, a seminar space, and treatment areas including a barbershop, and tattoo parlour.
Ryan has enjoyed a successful international career since winning his first competition against the world number one back in 2010 and has since earned all major titles, including being crowned three-time Arnold Classic Champion.
Then, in November, after eight unsuccessful attempts, Ryan won the 2023 Mr Olympia Men's Physique title in the US, proving that true grit and determination pay off.
