It’s been an eventful week for Nottingham Forest fans.
News of Nuno Espírito Santo’s sacking in the early hours of Tuesday morning (September 9) was quickly followed by the appointment of his successor, Ange Postecoglou.
There are no doubt mixed feelings about the change among Forest fans, given Nuno’s success in guiding the club into the Europa League last season.
But football moves quickly, and former Tottenham Hotspur boss Postecoglou will find himself in the dugout this Saturday (September 13) as Forest take on Arsenal at the Emirates.
Forest’s fans, players and board will be hoping that the Australian can build on Nuno’s success by bringing silverware to the City Ground.
The last manager to do that was, of course, the great Brian Clough.
Since claiming the League Cup in 1990, Forest’s trophy cabinet has not been added to.
Postecoglou will no doubt be keen to be the man that brings success back to Forest - and we’ve got the perfect way for him to get started.
Below are 11 legendary Clough quotes that new Forest boss Ange Postecoglou could learn a thing or two from as his tenure gets underway:
