Delays as fire services attend scene of lorry fire on m1
Nottingham Fire Services are on the scene of a lorry fire on the M1 Southbound junction 28. There are large delays expect as traffic is already heavy.
A spokesperson for Nottingham Fire and Rescue service told Nottingham World: “Crews from Staveley, Clay Cross and Ashfield are currently in attendance at a lorry fire on the M1 southbound a J28. We received the call at 15:14. All lanes southbound are currently closed as we deal with this incident.”
East Midlands highways tweeted that delays of 30 minutes with 6 miles of congestion on the approach. This is due to the fire and a large diesel spill.
